The site itself has an even older history. In 1876, one of Deadwood's earliest recorded murders is believed to have occurred here. Just steps away, Wild Bill Hickok met his famous fate at Nuttall & Mann's Saloon No. 10, forever cementing the town's place in Old West legend.
